NICHOL HEBERT has joined our practice.

nichol and johnNichol arrived in Australia on July 13th 2007 to join me as my lifelong companion. We married on December 2nd, 2007 in our leafy garden here at our home/clinic.

Nichol graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) in December 1993. As a USA registered and licensed OT, she worked with children facing a variety of challenges over the next 13 years in the areas of fine motor, self help, and sensory integration processing including balance, vestibular and proprioceptive dysfunctions. She worked in a multitude of settings including out patient clinics, schools, homes and other “natural environments”, including horse farms using hippotherapy techniques with clients.

Nichol delighted in watching children progress, but was frustrated by institutional constraints. She wanted something more to help both children and adults in pain, or struggling with chronic disorders.

In June 2006, Nichol studied Neurostructural Integration Technique (NST), an advanced form of Bowen Therapy, with Australian teacher, Ron Phelan. She was immediately entranced with the power of NST to restore energy, function and balance to those she treated, while relieving pain. She completed her Advanced NST certification in May 2007.

Since then, Nichol has completed studies in other branches of Bowen Therapy, plus an intensive training program for those wishing to treat people diagnosed with neurodegenerative & autoimmune disorders.

Nichol now has permission to work in Australia as an NST practitioner, and has commenced treating some of my clients while creating her own practice. Her expertise can help all age groups from the very young to older people. She has a great deal of knowledge and experience to help children who face special challenges, and is highly skilled in helping those diagnosed with neurodegenerative or autoimmune disorders.

Nichol’s work is one of the exciting developments at Return To Stillness.
