Recovery from Neuro and
Autoimmune Disorders

Parkinson's disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and similar disorders (lupus, peripheral neuropathy, multi-system atrophy, progressive supranuclear palsy, ankylosing spondylitis, post-polio syndrome, chronic fatigue syndrome, Guillain Barre syndrome, and many more)

Neurodegenerative and autoimmune disorders are at epidemic proportions in Western society. Despite billions of dollars spent on research, western medicine is no closer to a cure than twenty years ago. For many neurodegenerative and autoimmune disorders, there are not even any Western Medical treatments offered.

The good news is that we don't need a cure for any of these disorders. Many people around the world have reversed their symptoms of often "untreatable" (by Western Medicine) disorders, and some have completely recovered. Others have combined Western Medicine and Complementary Medicine to become well.

If you have read my story, you already know that I RECOVERED from advanced Parkinson's disease and early-stage Multi System Atrophy in 1998. I was NOT CURED, and have certainly not found a CURE for these disorders, or anything else. But I live with no symptoms, and so can you.

Becoming well (recovering) requires a new mindset that “knows” you CAN make a difference and improve your life, total dedication to your healing pathway, and a willingness to change anything or everything if needed to recover your health.

Some have recovered quite quickly (2.5 years) while others took 6 or more years. The time taken depends on many factors – how long you have been unwell, what other toxins or pollutants need clearing, how dedicated you are to the process (NO compromises means faster recovery), your level of activity, innate sensitivity and others. However, you CAN improve your health and move towards wellness along your unique wellness pathway.

If you have been diagnosed with any neurodegenerative or autoimmune disorder, the practitioners to whom I refer you will help guide you into a healthier life and symptom reversal.

A good way to start is to purchase my book “Rethinking Parkinson’s Disease”, use the advice there to determine the causes of your illness process, then work through the strategies in Section 3 to reverse the causes.

Your dedication to helping yourself will make any assistance given by practitioners much more effective.

Recovery from Lyme Disease and Co-infections

Lyme disease is a common (and sometimes inaccurate) name for infection by Borrelia bacteria and a number of “co-infections”.

Borreliosis (as it is more correctly called) has been recognised and treated in Europe since around 1905. It was “discovered” in USA in 1975 around the town of Lyme, Connecticut (hence its name). Since then, there has been a great deal of significant research and a variety of Lyme Associations have developed around the world. The most prominent is the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS), based in USA, who issue Guidelines for diagnosis and medical treatment of these infections.

There is great contention and confusion in Australia about diagnosis and treatment of Lyme disease. However, there is no doubt that many thousands of Australians are infected and most are not receiving appropriate treatment.

John’s 25 years of experienced has shown that at least 30% of those diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease carry one or more stealth infections, and proportions are higher for those diagnosed with autoimmune disorders and MND/ALS.

These infections must be well treated if you are to gain true wellness.

GOOD NEWS! The good news is that there are a number of practitioners who can and will diagnose and successfully treat Lyme disease (aka Multisystemic Infectious Diseases Syndrome - MSIDS). There are a variety of diagnostic techniques available and quality treatments to enhance your recovery.

There are four main diagnostic options:

  1. Clinical diagnosis from questionnaire, history and symptoms picture by an experienced practitioner;

  2. Challenge test using herbal antimicrobials;

  3. Blood tests from Australian Biologics in Sydney;

  4. Serology tests from Igenex (USA) or Infectolab (Germany).

Your practitioner will explain the accuracy and costs of each of these options, then you can decide what is best for you.

Recommended treatments include self-help strategies and food choices, lifestyle changes, detoxification techniques, supportive supplements, plus homeopathic remedies for immune regulation, organ support and symptom relief.

Specific treatments for the separate infections (Borrelia, Babesia, Bartonella, Mycoplasma, Chlamydia pneumoniae, etc) involve the Byron White herbal Formulas from USA. These are highly specialised formulas used by many Lyme Literate Doctors in USA, Australia and a growing number of other countries.

Recovery from Lyme disease is POSSIBLE. It involves hard work and patience, and dedicated teamwork between yourself and your healthcare team.
